I have had a passion for public service for as long as I can remember, which is why I began my career as an AmeriCorps VISTA assisting veterans and their families with advocacy and connecting them to services. I have continued my public service working with the homeless community, victims of domestic violence and other individuals and families in need of support. Through my experiences, I've seen firsthand the sustainable solutions that come from building alliances through mutual trust, consistency, and action.

I have 15 years of experience working in a government agency, starting out as an AmeriCorps Vista member where I worked on a comprehensive program that focused on capacity building and sustainability. And since then, my whole career has been about bringing together various stakeholders to develop solutions around different problems that we see in our communities.

I was able to understand the importance of approaching community leaders as experts in my 21 years working with San Diego County. It is our goal to show both law enforcement and members of the community, how they can successfully benefit from working together to build concrete solutions.

My nine years of experience have allowed me to see the power of connecting community stakeholders and government agencies. I got involved with a local government agency when I was a freshman in high school. They instilled in me, as a government employee, the passion and desire to work with community stakeholders and really bringing everyone together.
